Diseased Trees Removed in Ecclesall, Sheffield

Several trees removed with the assistance of a crane.

DB Tree Care - Subcontracting

The line of trees removed suffered from various diseases, some of which are secondary. The two main diseases being meripilus giganteus and  Ganoderma applanatum, which both eventually can lead to the failure of the tree.

Due to the trees close location to the public, building and overhanging car park they were removed.

The aid of a crane was necessary to dismantle the trees swiftly within a day. Although cranes increase productivity massively, they also reduce the amount of labor and strain on the workers bodies.

Here are a few photos from the days work:

Tree Work and the Christmas Holiday

A Time for Family and Festivities

DB Tree Care has had a very busy few months. This year has been successful and the company growth has been promising.
However, Christmas has been relaxing and enjoyable. A holiday to Vancouver Island, returning on Christmas Eve to join friends and family for the festivities has been most enjoyable. It's not just about work, it's about living life to the full.
Here are a few photos from Dominic Bailey's trip this Christmas.

Autumn Foliage

This time of year the colours are beautiful. This Acer looks fantastic with a little sunshine, it really illuminates the foliage.

Yew Tree Removal in Whirlow

The removal of a Yew tree in the Whirlow area of Sheffield.
As many people know, the timber of the Yew tree has great qualities from wood turning, bow making etc.
The opportunity to supply Ecclesall Saw Mill has arisen and the timber shall be put to good use, into the hands of the creative wood turners.
It's a shame to see a beautiful tree removed, however, it's nice to know it's going to be recycled.
